Hi to all nWODT team, im mjv_c0h1 from team enduracers and im writting in this topic to ask for help with photoshop.
I want to create an exhaust texture, but i dont know how to create that heat efect on metals.




I would be greatfull if you can explain me how to do that

Is the second pic what you want, or what you've already done ? Cause if it's what you want, it's pretty simple.

the 2nd pics comes from BMW M3, so it's what he want to do (on a Porsche).

The best thing imho would be to start with a black-filled new layer, then to give it the exhaust shape with a fusion mask.

Then add layer style : pick up the gradient option (third from the bottom) and click on the gradient strip in the center of the window ; a nex window will pop up, allowing you to set up a new gradient. Just pick the 4-5 colors you need to achieve the color variation render.

You could tweak it a bit by adding an inner glow and some discontinuity (using for example a new layer set to "incrustation" with a cloud filter effect).

J'ai plus aucun son dans Firefox, pourtant jai pas l'impression d'avoir fait quelque chose de particulier, et le son fonctionne ailleurs. J'ai pas trouvé sur Google donc si vous avez des suggestions j'en serais ravi :/

Bon ben puisque ça intéresse TOUT LE MONDE surtout Tchen et que ça peut arriver près de chez vous, le son est revenu en matant un trailer de la Black Box (aka Ep2 + Portal + TF2).
